American DIPA | 8.4% ABV | Eggers Full Moon Harvest
What a wicked fun project this one was. We are truly grateful for the wonderful folks @eggershops inviting us in to this collaborative Full Moon project.
During a total lunar eclipse in March this year, the team at Eggers Hops picked their favorite lots across varietals and hand-harvested them beneath a red moon — the Blood Moon — working through the night and processing the cones from field to foil by dawn. We brewed this beer to celebrate that same phenomenon — under October’s own super Harvest Moon — tying two hemispheres and one celestial event together in a single glowing glass.
Of course when we heard our friends at @autodidactbeer were jumping into the project we knew we needed to team up and just get downright silly with this one. We designed it to capture that moment in the glass: juicy, bright, and illuminated with lunar energy. Bursting with grape, citrus, and "moonlit" tropical tones, it carries a gentle green freshness — like walking through moonlit rows of fresh hops, the air thick with citrus and resin — soft, juicy, and radiant.
