A classic Kölsch, the famously crisp, refreshing ale native to Cologne, Germany, with a little extra golden malt character tucked into its otherwise delicate frame. Light on its feet, beautifully balanced and built for repeat pours, this one is a reminder that a beer doesn't need to be loud to have plenty to say.

We built the grist around Weyermann Cologne malt and locally grown Rabbit Hill Avalon Pilsner, with a small addition of Rabbit Hill Vienna malt. That combination gives the beer its slightly deeper golden color and a really pleasant layer of fresh bread, lightly toasted crust, cracker and subtle honeyed malt. Hallertau Mittelfrüh and French Strisselspalt hops bring a delicate floral, herbal and lightly spicy character, while our Kölsch yeast contributes just a whisper of soft fruit before finishing exceptionally clean and dry.
